Instructions for Online Book Study 11 September for Two Months
Dear Friends & Colleagues,
Links and other information is included in this email for your participation in Book Charting of
A Compassionate Civilization: The Urgency of Sustainable Development and Mindful Activism—Reflections and Recommendations
Tomorrow, Monday, September 11th, is the first session. Start time is 3:00pm EDT. Arrive and Check-in 30 Min before the start time.
How to Participate: A headset with a built-in microphone is required to participate verbally. Arriving early will give us time to get your audio working properly. If you do not have a headset we will MUTE your mic. Without a hesdset there is a great echo that blasts the ears of other participants, your computers built-in mic is not adequate. If we need to put you on mute you may still participate by typing into the Chat Pod.
Links for this Book Charting: Please Book Mark each link so you may renter easily each Monday. You may go back into Eventbrite and register for each of the individual remaining sessions, that would assure you that you will be notified each week of the up coming session. You are not required to register for each session, just bookmark the Adobe Connect link so you may get into the meeting room for each session.

More on Trusted Sharing: You can join and start a conversation with anyone about anything. Unlike Facebook, a Trusted Sharing conversation stays intact and does not disappear in the daily roll down. Unlike Twitter, a Trusted Sharing conversation can be much richer and more useful. Many facilitation methods can be used on Trusted Sharing including the ToP® Focused Conversation, Workshop and Strategic Planning, World Café, Open Space, Appreciative Inquiry and others.
The value of a flex-time (Asynchronous) conversation is that people can participate anytime from anywhere. In addition to testing it this spring with my students at NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, I am also introducing it to the UN’s e-governance branch for use at the local, national, regional and global levels. And in
May we hope to introduce Trusted Sharing at a continental conference of the International Association of Facilitators. See more at: http://ica-international.org/gm-windswaves/ww-2015-april/new-app.htm
It is with a sincere pleasure that we are hosting this event,
Kathy McGrane & Cheryl Kartes
