I am glad to hear that you and your wife survived the devastation in NC with your spirits still strong.
Of all the places I've lived in or visited I believe Western NC is the most beautiful. The Blue Ridge Mountains are spectacular, especially this time of year.
May you be reunited with your community soon.
And may all of us continue to fight for sane environmental regulations.
Please know that you and BMT are welcome to the online Dromenon Walk (Dance!) for Peace and Equanimity November 4 and/or 5. Peggy Rubin will be there. Yesterday I spoke with Jean, who will be there, pending other matters. To clarify: The hour will be devoted to the Inner Pilgrimage itself, preparing for it, doing it, reflecting on it: a time for private personal meditation within a loving community.
To everyone:
Here's the link - all you have to do is register with ZOOM and show up at 3 PM Pacific/ 6 PM Eastern with a handheld labyrinth tool in hand, which you can download here.
You are invited to a Zoom meeting.
When: Nov 4, 2024 03:00 PM Pacific Time (US and Canada)
From Elizabeth Austin: "I offer this to you in advance of the upcoming week.
Rob Work, known to many of us, begins his article with Mindfulness:
"Today, it is five weeks since Hurricane Helene caused widespread damage in our community of Swannanoa. So many are still hurting. I am feeling tired and disconnected. Am missing Swannanoa, neighbors, and family."
and ends with:
"May all beings everywhere, including you and me, realize peace, happiness, understanding, and compassionate action. May it be so."

Walking the Dromenon labyrinth by foot or finger calms my body and soul. If you want to reconnect with the coherent, loving Dromenon community, sign up for online Walks for Peace and Equanimity offered on November 4 and 5, described in a separate email which I will send later today.
Your writing helps soften my cynicism, my despair, and reminds me to return to Anapanasati. To the Suttas. To remember that despite dhukkha, there is always liberation. Thank you
From Third Act: "Thanks, Robert!
Keep writing - "
Thanks! Onward!
