Blessed Are the Children

This afternoon included a big treat for me. I got to Skype with Phoenix and Mariela, my two adorable grandchildren in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. I showed them pictures of Nairobi and they showed me the "books" that they have co-authored and co-illustrated. I introduced them to Paul, a Kenyan, who works in the garden of this guest house. They danced and played. And their magnificent parents were also part of the conversation. What a blessing to get to grow up again with these beautiful children.

Phoenix has just lost his two front teeth. Guess what he wants for Christmas? He loves Kindergarten, tap dancing, legos and ninja kids club. Mariela loves her ballet class and going to the gym with her mommy Jennifer. This morning Phoenix and his daddy Christopher went out to see the sun rise and to take photos which they shared with me. They also shared a photo of the moon taken last night.

May all children everywhere be cherished and given every opportunity to be happy and to realize their full potential!
